- Day 1: Yelbong Homestay to Rumti River Campsite Trek & Riverside Camping Experience. Upon arriving at the tranquil Yelbong Homestay in Kalimpong, begin your exciting trekking adventure with a scenic 2–3 hour hike to the Rumti River Campsite, nestled along the pristine Rumti River. After checking in, refresh yourself with welcome drinks and enjoy a wholesome, locally prepared lunch at the campsite. Spend your afternoon exploring the breathtaking Yelbong River Canyon, one of Kalimpong’s hidden natural wonders, known for its dramatic cliffs, lush greenery, and serene river views. As evening approaches, relax with light snacks by the riverside while soaking in the peaceful surroundings. End your day with a warm and cozy campfire experience by the riverbank.
